Enrique Maldonado Corchado, MD

Dr. Enrique R. Maldonado Corchado is trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Born and raised in Isabela, Puerto Rico. He received his MD cum laude from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. After Medical School he moved to Boston, Massachusetts where he did a research fellowship in Brigham and Women’s Hospital at the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hypertension. He completed his Internal Medicine residency in Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York, where he was selected one of the chief residents during the senior year. He then moved back to Boston, Massachusetts and worked as a Hospitalist for 2 years before leaving to San Antonio for a clinical Fellowship in Endocrinology at UT Health San Antonio which he completed prior to joining our practice.

  Dr. Enrique R. Maldonado Corchado is an active member of Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, American Diabetes Association, and American Thyroid Association. He is passionate about general Endocrinology including pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, and diabetes among others. His goal is to practice evidence base medicine, and provide excellent care to his patients. He enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, traveling and learning new cultures. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
